I just got your cookbook and was wondering if I can do a straight swap for butter or if I have to adjust? I have no problem eatting butter so would prefer to use it over margerin. Thank you

Hi Barbara, Lovely to hear from you and hope you enjoy cooking from my book! Yes, by all means, do a straight swap with butter. Ditto cheese, yogurt and all things dairy, if you can tolerate them. (The only thing that you might want to alter is the white sauces where I’ve used a mixture of stock and dairy-free milk – you could forget the stock and just use straight milk.) All best, Gracex

Hi,

I suffer from chronic excema and am desperate for help- i want to eliminate citric acid, gluten, wheat, nuts, dairy to try and find if food allergies are exacerbating it.

Please can you help?

Hi Kirran, Yes I can help! Are you looking for recipes – and, if so, what kind? I personally don’t eat citrus, gluten, wheat or dairy so, although some of my recipes contain citrus, most don’t. And they’re all gluten-free and dairy-free. There are lots that are nut-free, too. Also, are you making sure you’re eating a lot of foods with omega 3, 6 & 9 – and also taking those supplements? All best, Grace
